Palin: Can’t Think of a Supreme Court Case She Disagrees With

By Aura Blogando

[PLEASE NOTE: I am quite disappointed... none of you have told me where they got these Palin people from.]

You’ve likely already seen the part where Sarah Palin can’t name one newspaper she reads in an interview with Katie Couric. But which conservative doesn’t have a handful of Supreme Court cases they disagree with, just ready to pull out of their hat? Let me guess: Palin!

By the way, it was certainly not my intent to bash Palin all the time on this blog. In fact, I am doing very little bashing, and just letting this severely under-qualified candidate speak for herself. And for those of you who have pointed out that she is just too stressed out to be doing interviews like this, I’d like to remind you that it’s part of the job. If you don’t know how to talk to the press, if you stumble over your words, and if you cannot remember things like the name of a newspaper or the fact that you already publicly stated your opposition to the high court’s ruling on the Exxon Valdez spill, then keep you day job, Governor – we certainly don’t need you runningĀ for VP on any ticket.

So, some of her initial interviews didn’t go that well. So what? I don’t care if Palin was nervous in talking to these media people. I like her because she gets things done as a governor. She’s running a state. She took on the good’ol boys in the Republican party there and ran as a reformer against an incumbent Republican, and won. She’s got guts and gumption.

Maybe you disagree with her political ideas. Fine. But why all the vitriol directed against her?

When you’re elected governor of some state, let me know. Until then, your words ring hollow.
